Gonpachi is a famous Japanese restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere.

Gonpachi became world-famous for the historic “Izakaya meeting” between former President George W. Bush and former Prime Minister Koizumi that took place at Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu, and for being the model for the scene in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill”. As a Japanese restaurant serving soba noodles, kushiyaki (skewers), tempura, and other dishes, Gonpachi attracts customers from all over Japan and the world.

Gonpachi offers a unique arrangement of carefully selected Japanese buckwheat noodles, handmade by artisans from buckwheat flour carefully ground each morning on a millstone, skewers carefully grilled over bincho charcoal, and freshly fried hot tempura, among other specialties.

There are several Gonpachi restaurants in Tokyo, but if you are going to go there, it is better to go to the famous Nishi-Azabu.
