Revival dance of the 1980s, Tomigaoka High School Dance Club.

For 51 months from December 1986 to February 1991, Japan was in the midst of a bubble economy. More than 30 years ago, a club culture was born at a club in Roppongi, with long hair, tight dresses, and for some reason, dancing with a fan in hand. The scene was so intense that it is still etched in negative history.

This video shows a contemporary high school dance club taking that backwards and putting on a performance that incorporates the fashions of the time. The song “Dead or Alive / You spin me round” is also played during the performance.

Despite the ridiculous appearance, the dancing is sharp and it is amazing to watch for a long time and not get bored.
